Good cross device user feedback that is independently collected and analyzed is hard to find in the prosthetics industry. To help with decision making, we have some good independent collective material that will help you decide on the the best prosthetic arm solution to explore.
Recently, one of our go-to sources of independent research and analysis Bionics for Everyone went out of business, and given how there is so little published comparing devices across the industry we decided to save the bionic limb study and publish it here for all to see!
This study was conducted in 2021 which may seem old but the results are actually useful today as the devices surveyed are still available.
We hope you find this feedback from existing device users helpful in figuring out which prosthetic arm is right for you!
The independent research covered:
- Over 60 devices
- Included feedback from existing bionic arm users including anecdotal feedback
Summary of research:
- User satisfaction with bionic hands is higher than expected
- Highest priced bionic hands seem to also be the lowest rated in user satisfaction
- Repair times and repair rates is something to consider as part of your research into prosthetic arms
